AMETEK Sensors and Fluid Management Systems continues to support CFM56-7B operators, and their maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) needs by building onto the company’s pedigree of aerospace sensors and fluid measurement products.

SFMS has two service centers in Wilmington, MA and Reynosa, Mexico. They both apply the knowledge and skills acquired over the 60+ history of the company as an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for engine applications, covering virtually every GE Aviation engine, as well as the CFM International LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B and LEAP-1C.

The Reynosa, Mexico FAA/EASA Part 145 Service Centre started providing aircraft maintenance services on multiple platforms over 15 years ago, reaching more than 300 customers worldwide today.  The success of our organization is based largely on the reliability of the AMETEK products and the team’s efforts to meet 100% defect-free repairs. 

With 16 certified technicians, the Reynosa FAA/EASA Part 145 Service Center spans over 3,500-square-foot MRO workshop in the middle of the AMETEK facility in the heart of Reynosa, Mexico. Among the activities authorized by the company’s FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station Certificate are the maintenance, repair and overhaul of measurement equipment for the CFM International CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B which power two widely used single-aisle category jetliners: Boeing’s 737NG and the Airbus A320 family.

The Reynosa Service Center capabilities include Calibration, Flow Testing, Leak Testing, Insulation and Resistance Testing, Electrical Bonding Testing and HTS-Resistant Viton upgrades on Oil Level Sensors among others, and are further augmented with the acquisition of new equipment as Fuel flowmeters Test Stands, Hydraulic Pressure Stands, Environmental Stress Screening Chambers, Submersion Tanks, Soldering Stations, etc.

For the CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B, SFMS’ maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities encompass Fuel Flow Meter, T3 Senor and Oil Level Sensors. As part of its customer support activities, SFMS offers CFM56-7B / CFM56-5B components for exchange – enabling rapid-reaction swap-out.
