Sustainability at AMETEK SFMS
In 2021 the International Air Transport Association approved a resolution to become net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The global aviation industry is focused on broad initiatives that include more use of sustainable aviation fuels, more-electric aircraft, high efficiency aircraft engines, and others. Industry targets are driving OEMs and operators to invest in technologies and approaches that will enhance sustainability.

At all our manufacturing sites, our AMETEK SFMS Sustainability Council is working to implement multiple sustainability efforts. The council is working projects intended to reduce waste and energy use and are adopting more environmentally friendly workplace practices. Our teams remain focused on operational excellence, LEAN practices, and will continue to reduce impacts across our operations. And we are collaborating closely with our customers to ensure that our technology roadmaps provide our customers with world-class solutions that meet the needs of a changing aerospace industry.
SFMS OVERVIEW
AMETEK Sensors and Fluid Management Systems (SFMS) is a global leader in the design, test and manufacturing of sensing products for the commercial, military-defense, business-jet and space markets. These sensors support applications related to temperature, pressure, fluid level, fluid flow, position and acceleration/speed, many of which need to operate in harsh operating environments. SFMS has been producing product for systems operating on the most critical commercial and military aircraft programs in aerospace history.
